The Government of Anambra State, under the leadership of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, expresses profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their unwavering commitment to democratic integrity during the November 8, 2025, governorship election.
Governor Soludo, who was re-elected with a commanding 73% of the vote, described the election as the most transparent and efficiently conducted in Anambra’s history. “This is a moment of pride for Anambra and for Nigeria. The people spoke, and their voices were heard without interference. I commend President Tinubu for his democratic principles and INEC for setting a new benchmark in electoral conduct,” Soludo stated during his victory speech in Awka.
The governor also extended an olive branch to his opponents, emphasizing unity and collective progress. “Out of 326 wards, we lost only six. This overwhelming mandate is not just a victory for APGA, but a call to serve every citizen of Anambra with renewed vigor,” he added.
Soludo paid tribute to a slain supporter who tragically lost his life during the voting process, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to peace and justice.
The Anambra State Government urges other states and electoral bodies to emulate the standards demonstrated in this election, reinforcing the belief that Nigeria’s democracy can thrive through transparency, fairness, and respect for the will of the people.
