Nigerian celebrity chef and culinary trailblazer, Hilda Baci, has officially received her second Guinness World Record plaque, this time for preparing the world’s largest pot of jollof rice, solidifying her status as Nigeria’s most decorated chef on the global stage.

The Guinness World Records confirmed that during a cookout held in Lagos in September 2025, Hilda Baci successfully cooked a staggering 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of jollof rice. The feat was verified under strict conditions, ensuring every grain counted and none went to waste, with the food distributed among attendees and charity organizations.

This latest achievement comes just over a year after Baci earned her first Guinness World Record in May 2023 for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, clocking in at 93 hours and 11 minutes. With two Guinness titles to her name, she became the first Nigerian chef to hold multiple world records, a milestone she described as a story of “faith, fire, and history.”

In a series of celebratory posts on Instagram, Baci shared photos of her two plaques, expressing gratitude to her team, fans, and the Guinness World Records. “Our plaques are finally here!!! Two records. Two plaques. One story of faith, fire, and history,” she wrote.
