Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Regina Daniels, has made explosive allegations against her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, claiming he ordered the arrest of her two siblings in a bid to coerce her return to their marital home.
In a series of emotional Instagram stories posted on Monday evening, Regina Daniels wrote, “Someone please help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind.” She revealed that her elder brother and sister had been arrested, and warned that her younger sister might be next if she refuses to return and submit to a rehabilitation program allegedly arranged by Senator Nwoko.
“I never thought I would do this but my big brother and big sister have been arrested… until I return and, according to him, return to rehab,” she stated.
Regina accused the Delta North senator of using state apparatus to intimidate her family and force her compliance. She also hinted at deeper issues within their marriage, stating that their once-admired union has become a “laughing stock.”
“You said I’m a drug addict. Me l use am rub body sir! What other name will you call me? A prostitute? But I will speak on that one day and tell the world your involvement with everything,” she wrote in a separate post.
The revelations have sparked widespread concern across social media, with fans, activists, and legal commentators calling for an independent investigation into the arrests. Many are questioning the legality of using law enforcement to settle personal disputes and are urging the Nigerian Police Force and human rights bodies to intervene.
As of the time of this release, Senator Ned Nwoko has not issued any public statement addressing the allegations. Attempts to reach his media team for comment have been unsuccessful.
This unfolding drama between one of Nigeria’s most high-profile couples has cast a spotlight on the intersection of power, personal liberty, and the abuse of institutional authority. As the situation develops, the public awaits clarity and justice for all parties involved.
