Fintiri, Delta Senator, and Edo Deputy Governor Mourn Bayelsa Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri; Delta Central Senator, Ede Dafinone; and Edo State Deputy Governor, Osarodion Idahosa, have expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.





In separate condolence messages, the leaders described Ewhrudjakpo’s death as a painful loss not only to Bayelsa State but to the nation at large, noting his dedication to public service and his unwavering commitment to good governance.




Governor Fintiri said the late deputy governor was a calm, principled, and visionary leader whose contributions to national development will remain unforgettable. “Nigeria has lost a gentleman in leadership, someone who believed in building bridges and promoting unity,” he stated. He extended his condolences to Governor Douye Diri, the government of Bayelsa State, and the bereaved family.





Senator Dafinone described Ewhrudjakpo as a patriotic Nigerian whose leadership style embodied humility, service, and fairness. He noted that the deputy governor’s passing has created a significant void in the political landscape. “His integrity and dedication set him apart. His legacy will continue to inspire many,” the Senator said.





Edo State Deputy Governor Osarodion Idahosa also expressed shock at the news, praising Ewhrudjakpo’s commitment to strengthening democratic institutions. He added that the deputy governor worked tirelessly for the progress of Bayelsa and Nigeria, urging the family and the people of the state to find strength in his remarkable legacy.
