The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, delivered a televised address to the nation on Friday.afa363 He spoke amid ongoing protests sparked by economic challenges, including the devaluation of the national currency




In his speech, Khamenei accused demonstrators of destroying public property to please the U.S. President Donald Trump. He warned that the Islamic Republic would not yield to vandals or foreign-backed forces. Khamenei emphasized that protesters act as mercenaries for foreigners and sabotage their own country.




Directly addressing Trump, Khamenei urged the U.S. president to manage problems in his own country. He claimed Trump's hands are stained with the blood of over a thousand Iranians. Khamenei predicted that arrogant rulers like Trump would face overthrow, comparing him to historical tyrants such as Pharaoh and Nimrod.




The Supreme Leader called for national unity and readiness among Iranian youth. He stated that a united people can defeat any enemy. Khamenei highlighted that the Republic was built on the blood of hundreds of thousands and would stand firm.




Protests erupted in late December due to sharp currency fluctuations and rising prices. Authorities report clashes in several cities, with efforts underway to restore order. The government replaced the Central Bank head amid the crisis.




"The Islamic Republic will not back down in the face of riots or external pressures," said Ayatollah Khamenei. He added, "Trump should focus on the problems of his own country if he knew how to govern."
