Manchester United have officially returned to the top four in the Premier League table, securing fourth position with a three-point advantage over both Liverpool and Chelsea following the latest round of fixtures in the 2025/26 season.

The Red Devils now sit on 48 points from 27 matches (13 wins, 9 draws, 5 losses), boasting a goal difference of +11 (48 goals scored, 37 conceded). This places them firmly in the Champions League qualification spots, behind league leaders Arsenal (61 points), Manchester City (56 points), and Aston Villa (51 points).

Liverpool and Chelsea both remain on 45 points from their 27 games, with Chelsea holding a superior goal difference (+17) over Liverpool's +7, but trailing United by three crucial points. Manchester United's ascent follows a string of strong performances, including a recent 1-0 victory away at Everton, which proved decisive in overtaking their rivals.

This milestone marks a significant turnaround and resurgence for Manchester United under their current management, as the team demonstrates improved consistency, defensive solidity, and attacking threat throughout the campaign.

The top-four battle remains intensely competitive, with European qualification and the prestige and revenue that comes with it very much in play as the season enters its decisive phase.

Club Statement "We are delighted with this achievement, but our focus remains firmly on continuing to build momentum," said a Manchester United spokesperson. "The players and staff have shown tremendous character and determination. Supporters have been incredible, and we look forward to more exciting matches ahead as we push for sustained success."

Manchester United's next fixtures offer further opportunities to solidify their position, with the team aiming to maintain this hard-earned advantage in what promises to be a thrilling run-in to the 2025/26 Premier League season.
