The Gombe ADC Youth Network (GAYN) has issued a stern 48-hour ultimatum to Hon. Nafiu Bala, demanding his immediate resignation from all leadership positions within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) over allegations of internal sabotage and deepening the ongoing leadership crisis in the party.
In a strongly worded statement released today, the youth wing accused Hon. Nafiu Bala of engaging in activities that undermine party unity, fuel division, and jeopardize the ADC’s prospects ahead of future elections. The group described his continued involvement as a major obstacle to progress and reconciliation within the Gombe State chapter and the national structure of the party.
“We, the youths of the ADC in Gombe State, have watched with deep concern as internal wrangling continues to weaken our great party,” the statement read. “Hon. Nafiu Bala’s actions have been identified as a key driver of this crisis. We therefore give him 48 hours to resign honourably or face massive youth mobilization and peaceful protests across Gombe State.”
The Gombe ADC Youth Network emphasized that their demand is driven by a commitment to the party’s survival and the desire to restore stability. They called on all well-meaning members of the ADC, party elders, and relevant stakeholders to support the move, warning that failure to address the issue could lead to further fragmentation.
The ultimatum takes effect immediately and expires at midnight on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
The Gombe ADC Youth Network reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to the African Democratic Congress and its ideals of democracy, good governance, and youth empowerment. The group pledged to continue working towards a united, vibrant, and forward-looking ADC that serves the interests of the people of Gombe State and Nigeria at large.
