The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reaffirmed its full readiness to participate in the 2027 general elections, firmly dismissing recent claims suggesting the party may be excluded or unable to field candidates.
In an official statement issued on Saturday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, described the reports as “entirely unfounded” and aimed at misleading the public and creating unnecessary confusion within the political space.
The ADC emphasized that there are no legal or constitutional barriers preventing its participation in the forthcoming elections. The party reiterated its commitment to presenting credible, competent, and nationally acceptable candidates across all elective positions.
“We remain focused on our mission to rescue Nigeria from the failure of the current administration and to prevent a slide toward a one-party state,” the statement noted, underscoring the party’s determination to remain a strong opposition force.
