BELLO TURJI’S WEAPONS SUPPLY PIPELINE CRUMBLES: OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA ARRESTS NOTORIOUS GUNRUNNER IN KATSINA

 

In a landmark intelligence-driven breakthrough, troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have severely fractured the operational capability of bandit networks across Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto, and Zamfara States. Through aggressive offensive actions and precision intelligence operations, the military has systematically degraded hostile networks and denied them freedom of action. 

Throughout the month, these sustained engagements resulted in the neutralization of 24 insurgents, the arrest of 13 criminal suspects, and the successful rescue of 22 trapped civilians.

The most significant strategic breakthrough occurred in Batsari LGA of Katsina State, where troops tracked down and apprehended a major gunrunner at a local hospital. 

The suspect was unmasked as the primary supplier of military-grade weapons to notorious bandit kingpins, including the wanted criminal Bello Turji. By cutting off this vital artery of lethal firepower, the military has dealt a devastating blow to the logistics and weapon supply chains that fuel violent criminality in the region.

In parallel operations, the military demonstrated overwhelming response capabilities when Forward Operating Base Bagega in Zamfara State came under attack. 

Reinforcements were swiftly mobilized alongside two Super Tucano aircraft and ISR platforms deployed from Kainji, enabling coordinated air and ground operations that neutralized the attackers. 

Additionally, fighting patrols in Matazu LGA successfully neutralized two terrorists and rescued 32 kidnapped victims alongside 26 livestock from a fortified enclave, proving the military's absolute commitment to restoring enduring peace.
