National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has called on party members, supporters, and stakeholders to remain united and steadfast following a high-level meeting with the party’s presidential candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi, and vice-presidential candidate, His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The meeting, held at Dickson’s residence in Abuja, focused on the positive state of the party and preparations for the forthcoming nationwide campaigns, which are expected to commence later this month ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement confirming the discussions, Dickson described the engagement as productive and strategic. “It was a pleasure to have hosted our presidential candidate, His Excellency Peter Gregory Obi, CON, and his running mate, His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, CON, at a high-level consultative meeting to discuss the positive state of affairs of our party and to prepare for the forthcoming campaigns,” he said.
Dickson used the occasion to emphasise the importance of cohesion within the party and its support networks, including the Obidient and Kwankwasiyya movements. He urged all members to set aside differences and work collectively towards electoral success.
“I call on all members, supporters and stakeholders of our great party to unite, remain steadfast and work together for victory for all candidates of our party,” Dickson stated.
The meeting comes amid efforts to strengthen internal harmony and mobilise support as the NDC positions itself as a major opposition platform. Dickson reaffirmed the party’s commitment to building a strong, disciplined, and inclusive political institution dedicated to good governance and national renewal.
The NDC leadership remains focused on grassroots mobilisation, party structure strengthening, and presenting a united front as campaigns approach.
