Arsenal recovered from an early deficit to secure a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Chelsea forward Morgan Rogers opened the scoring in the second minute with a volley that gave the visitors an early lead. Arsenal responded in the 25th minute when Kai Havertz equalised with a low shot past goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

Martin Odegaard then scored the decisive goal in the 50th minute. Christos Tzolis delivered a pass into the box, Havertz dummied the ball, and Odegaard finished emphatically to put the home side ahead.

The result left Arsenal with three wins from three matches and nine points, maintaining their perfect start to the season and keeping them level with Manchester City at the top of the table. Chelsea suffered their first defeat under coach Xabi Alonso and remain on six points.

Pedro Neto struck the post for Chelsea before half-time, while Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya made a late save to deny Estevao as the visitors pressed for an equaliser. A potential Arsenal goal by Riccardo Calafiori earlier in the first half was disallowed for offside following a VAR review.
