Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline and national flag carrier, is proud to announce the commencement of direct flight operations between Lagos, Nigeria and São Paulo, Brazil. This historic route marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s aviation and diplomatic landscape, following the successful state visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Brazil.
During a bilateral meeting held at the Palácio do Planalto in Brasília, President Tinubu and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva finalized a series of strategic agreements aimed at deepening ties between the two nations. Among these was the approval of a direct air link between Lagos and São Paulo, to be operated by Air Peace.
“Increasing the direct connections between Nigeria and Brazil is another essential step to strengthen the ties between our societies,” stated President Lula during a joint press conference with President Tinubu.
The new route will be Air Peace’s first intercontinental service to South America, opening up unprecedented opportunities for trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Africa’s largest economy and Latin America’s biggest market.
