The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has been named First Lady of the Year (Health-Care & Child Support) at the 2025 Nigerian Humanitarian Awards and Magazine, held in Abuja. The accolade recognizes her outstanding contributions to public health and child welfare through her transformative initiative, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo.

Organized by the Humanitarian Achievement and Outreach Foundation, the award followed a nationwide nomination and public voting process that drew thousands of responses from citizens and humanitarian observers. Dr. Soludo emerged as a clear favorite, praised for her unwavering commitment to maternal and child care, nutritional education, and support for underprivileged families across Anambra State.

In her acceptance speech, Dr. Soludo reflected on the journey that began nearly two decades ago: “What began over 19 years ago as a simple passion has now transformed into a massive crusade. Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo has come to stay. For each laurel and accolade that comes our way, we take them in the manner of greater expectations. This one is special.”

She dedicated the award to her “Healthy Living Family” and the children of Anambra, emphasizing that the honor belongs to every citizen who has supported her mission—from Saturday morning fitness participants to families impacted by her outreach programs.

Founder of the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards, Emmanuel Anabueze, commended Dr. Soludo’s leadership, noting that her efforts have “empowered women with practical tools for sustainable family well-being” and “created healthier homes across the state.”
