A prominent grassroots coalition, the Progressive Renewal Movement (PRM), has officially launched a nationwide campaign to mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections. The group cited Tinubu’s ongoing reform agenda as a key reason for its endorsement.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, PRM National Coordinator, Mrs. Zainab Okon, praised the President’s economic and governance reforms, describing them as “bold steps toward national renewal.” She highlighted initiatives in infrastructure, energy, and fiscal policy as evidence of Tinubu’s commitment to long-term transformation.
“President Tinubu has shown the courage to make difficult decisions that prioritize the future of Nigeria over short-term convenience,” Okon stated. “We believe continuity is essential to consolidate these gains and ensure lasting impact.”
The group announced plans to hold town hall meetings, voter education drives, and youth engagement forums across all six geopolitical zones. PRM also pledged to counter misinformation and promote civic participation ahead of the 2027 elections.
In addition to backing Tinubu’s re-election, the coalition called on citizens to support reform policies aimed at improving transparency, reducing corruption, and fostering inclusive growth.
“We are not just campaigning for a candidate—we are campaigning for a vision,” Okon added. “A vision of a Nigeria that works for everyone.”
