The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that he has no regrets backing the President during the 2023 general elections as he marks his 58th birthday.
Speaking during a birthday thanksgiving and interaction with supporters, associates, and political allies, Wike said his decision to support Tinubu was based on conviction, national interest, and a belief in strong leadership, not political pressure.
According to him, leadership requires courage and the willingness to make difficult choices, stressing that history has continued to justify his stance. He noted that President Tinubu’s policies and reforms show a clear commitment to governance, development, and national stability.
“I am 58 today, and I have no regrets whatsoever supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I made that decision with a clear conscience and for the good of the country,” Wike said.
The former Rivers State governor urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of the current administration, emphasizing that meaningful reforms often take time to yield results. He also called on political leaders to put the nation above personal or party interests.
Wike expressed gratitude to President Tinubu, his family, friends, and supporters across the country for their goodwill messages and continued support, describing the occasion as a moment of reflection and renewed commitment to public service.
