Bayelsa Deputy Governor’s Death a Painful Loss, Governor Makinde Mourns

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, describing the tragedy as a painful and monumental loss to the state and the nation.







In a condolence message issued on Monday, Governor Makinde said the news of the deputy governor’s death came as a shock, noting that the late leader was a dedicated public servant who worked tirelessly for the progress of Bayelsa State and the wellbeing of its people.







Governor Makinde commiserated with the Governor of Bayelsa State, the bereaved family, and the people of Bayelsa, urging them to take solace in the remarkable life of service and integrity the late deputy governor lived.







“This is a heartbreaking loss, not just for Bayelsa State but for Nigeria. The deputy governor was a symbol of commitment and humility, and his passing has created a void that will be difficult to fill,” Makinde said.







He prayed for strength for the family and all who are grieving, asking God to grant them comfort during this difficult time. Governor Makinde also called for unity and collective support for the Bayelsa State Government as it navigates this period of mourning and transition.
