The Obidient Movement has thrown its full weight behind a potential joint presidential ticket of former Anambra State Governor Mr. Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, describing the alliance as the catalyst that will drive Nigeria’s long-awaited rebirth.

In a statement issued today, leaders of the movement declared that an Obi–Kwankwaso ticket represents the best opportunity to rescue Nigeria from economic hardship, insecurity, and misgovernance, while uniting citizens across ethnic, religious, and regional lines for genuine national renewal.

“The combination of Peter Obi’s proven competence, integrity, and prudent management with Senator Kwankwaso’s grassroots mobilisation, institutional reforms, and massive followership in the North creates a formidable force for change,” the statement read. “This ticket is not just about winning an election; it is about healing our divisions and building a New Nigeria that works for all its people.”

The Obidient Movement noted that recent strategic engagements, including the formalisation of partnership structures between Obidient and Kwankwasiyya groups under the emerging OK Movement, signal a strong and growing coalition.

The alliance, which draws support from various opposition platforms including the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is positioned as a national rescue mission capable of delivering victory and transformative governance in 2027.

The movement emphasised that Nigerians have endured enough suffering from rising costs of living, persistent insecurity, and leadership failures. “An Obi–Kwankwaso ticket offers competence, accountability, and people-centred governance. It will restore hope, secure the nation, revive the economy, and ensure no region or group is left behind,” the group added.

The Obidient Movement called on all well-meaning Nigerians, civil society groups, and progressive forces across the country to rally behind this vision of rebirth. It warned against any attempts to undermine the emerging alliance through infiltration or division, urging supporters to remain focused and disciplined.

“Nigeria stands at a critical crossroads. The Obi–Kwankwaso ticket provides the clearest path to a safer, kinder, and more prosperous nation. Together, we will make Nigeria OK again,” the statement concluded.
