Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has formally declared his administration’s and political family’s strong endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027, describing the decision as a moral and development-driven action taken in the best interest of Osun State and the Yoruba people worldwide.

In a statement issued after a strategic meeting with members of his cabinet, special advisers, and top government officials at the Government House in Osogbo, Governor Adeleke emphasized that the endorsement transcends partisan politics and is rooted in deep cultural, ancestral, and developmental considerations.

“The endorsement of Mr. President for a second term is in the best interest of Osun and Yoruba people globally. It is a moral and development-driven action,” Governor Adeleke stated.

The Governor described President Tinubu as “our own son, father, and leader” who deserves unconditional support beyond political affiliations. He noted his unique position as the governor of the President’s ancestral birthplace, adding that this reality leaves no room for hesitation.

“I am the governor of the ancestral birthplace of Mr. President. How can I have my own in the saddle and think twice before embracing him? I need no persuasion to act, as I have declared repeatedly, on our endorsement of Mr President. How many governors are as lucky as me?”

Governor Adeleke reaffirmed that his administration and the broader political family in Osun remain fully committed to supporting President Tinubu’s re-election bid, believing it will deliver continued progress, stability, and prosperity for the South-West region and Nigeria as a whole.

The Governor called on all well-meaning Nigerians, particularly people of Yoruba extraction, to rally behind the President for the greater good of the region and the nation.
