Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Suleiman Sa’ad Abubakar as the new Emir of Kagarko Emirate.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, follows the demise of the late Emir, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, and was made after a rigorous selection process by the kingmakers of the Kagarko Emirate Council.
Announcing the appointment in a statement issued on Monday, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Local Government, Alhaji Sadiq Mamman (Lagos), said the decision was taken in line with the relevant laws of Kaduna State and traditional succession processes.
Governor Uba Sani congratulated the new Emir and expressed confidence that Alhaji Suleiman Sa’ad Abubakar will bring wisdom, unity, and purposeful leadership to the Kagarko Emirate, fostering peace, development, and harmonious coexistence among the people.
The Governor urged the new Emir to prioritize the welfare of his subjects, promote justice, and work closely with the state government to advance socio-economic progress in the emirate and Kaduna State at large.
Alhaji Suleiman Sa’ad Abubakar is expected to be formally presented to the public and turbaned in due course in accordance with the traditions of the Kagarko Emirate.
