Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has reaffirmed the strong commitment of the people of Benue to the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging to deliver no fewer than 620,000 votes for the President in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting with APC leaders, traditional rulers, and party faithful in Makurdi, Governor Alia described President Tinubu’s administration as one that has delivered tangible dividends of democracy to Benue State. He highlighted key interventions including infrastructure development, agricultural support, and peace-building initiatives that have strengthened the bond between the federal government and the state.
“We are not just making promises; we are mobilizing our people across the 23 local government areas to ensure that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives overwhelming support in Benue State,” Governor Alia stated. “The target of 620,000 votes is realistic and achievable given the love and acceptance the President enjoys among our people. Benue stands firmly with President Tinubu for continuity, progress, and the Renewed Hope agenda.”
The Governor emphasized that the APC in Benue remains united and focused on delivering victory for President Tinubu and the party’s candidates at all levels. He commended the President’s endorsement of his second-term bid and ongoing federal support for critical projects in the state, including roads, educational institutions, and industrial initiatives.
Party leaders and stakeholders present at the meeting echoed the Governor’s commitment, describing the pledge as a reflection of grassroots support for President Tinubu’s transformative leadership. They noted significant achievements under the current administration, such as the establishment of new industries and improved healthcare and educational facilities.
This bold assurance comes as the All Progressives Congress (APC) intensifies mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 polls, building on the impressive performance recorded by President Tinubu during the recent APC presidential primary in the state, where he secured overwhelming support.
