Suspected Boko Haram terrorists launched a coordinated attack on the Logomani community in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State, targeting a military forward operating base, a police outpost, and a primary healthcare centre.

According to reports, the insurgents overran parts of the area, burning down the police post, the primary healthcare centre, and two classrooms in a local school. The attack highlights the persistent threat posed by terrorist groups in the region despite ongoing military operations.

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai responded swiftly to repel the assault on the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Logomani. Military sources confirmed that one soldier was killed in the exchange, while the terrorists suffered heavy casualties. The troops successfully repelled the attackers, who fled the scene.

Residents expressed fear and called for enhanced security presence in the area to prevent further incursions that disrupt daily life and essential services like healthcare and education.

The Nigerian military has vowed to intensify counter-insurgency efforts to restore peace and protect civilians in Borno State and the wider North East region.
