Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm felicitations to Dr. Charles Diji Akinola, Director General/Managing Director of the South West Development Commission (SWDC), on the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.
In a congratulatory message, Governor Abiodun described Dr. Akinola’s milestone as a celebration of a life dedicated to selfless service, visionary leadership, and institutional development. He praised the SWDC DG for his over three decades of impactful contributions across government, international development, and the private sector.
“Dr. Charles Akinola has consistently deployed his vast experience and global exposure to advance public sector reforms and drive meaningful development. His distinguished public service is worthy of emulation,” Governor Abiodun stated.
The Governor highlighted Dr. Akinola’s pivotal role in shaping policies and programmes that promote regional growth and sustainable development in the South West. He wished him continued good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
Dr. Akinola, a seasoned administrator, agriculturist, and sustainable development expert, previously served as Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun State. His leadership at the SWDC has been commended for fostering collaboration and progress across the region.
