The All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, has declared that the growing wave of endorsements for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections is a clear signal of his inevitable reelection, dismissing opposition claims of desperation and panic.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos, APC Spokesperson Mr. Seye Oladejo described the endorsements as “proof of reforms taking root, courage admired by Nigerians, and leadership that even closet sympathizers of the opposition quietly acknowledge.”
“For avoidance of doubt, every endorsement of President Tinubu is another confirmation that 2027 is a settled matter,” Oladejo stated. “PDP can only look forward to yet another humiliating defeat – the type that makes a mockery of their relevance and confirms their total rejection by Nigerians.”
The APC’s remarks come in response to recent statements by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, who alleged that the ruling party was “shopping for endorsements” out of fear of losing public support. The APC, however, countered that the PDP’s internal instability and lack of credible leadership have left it scrambling for relevance.
Oladejo further criticized the PDP’s legacy, accusing it of wasting Nigeria’s wealth and opportunities during its 16-year rule. He emphasized that while President Tinubu shoulders the burden of reform, the opposition continues to “throw stones from the sidelines.”
The APC also highlighted defections from the PDP and other opposition parties as evidence of Tinubu’s growing political dominance. The party reiterated that the endorsements are not orchestrated, but rather organic expressions of confidence in the President’s leadership and vision for Nigeria.
“When a man is destined for the throne, even his enemies clap unwillingly,” Oladejo added, underscoring the party’s belief that Tinubu’s path to victory is not only assured but already underway.
