Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to the safety and welfare of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to the state. Speaking during an official visit to the NYSC orientation camp in Fanisau, Dutse, the governor emphasized that corps members are vital contributors to national development and deserve full protection and support.

“You are not just guests in Jigawa—you are partners in progress,” Governor Namadi declared. “We will continue to prioritize your safety, provide conducive working environments, and ensure your welfare is never compromised.”

The governor announced that the state government has intensified security measures around NYSC lodges and places of primary assignment, working closely with law enforcement agencies to guarantee a peaceful service year. He also pledged improvements in accommodation, transportation, and healthcare access for corps members.

In response, the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Aisha Mohammed, expressed gratitude for the government’s proactive stance and assured that corps members are motivated to contribute meaningfully to the development of Jigawa State.

“The governor’s assurance is a morale booster,” she said. “It reinforces our belief that Jigawa is a safe and welcoming place for service.”
