Barr. Seyi Tinubu, Patron of the City Boy Movement, has reaffirmed the organisation’s unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s national development, youth inclusion, and the successful implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking at the opening dinner of the City Boy Movement’s maiden National Retreat held at the State House in Abuja, Seyi Tinubu described the movement as having evolved from a campaign platform into “a strong family foundation, a national network of committed patriots and a symbol of resilience, loyalty and purposeful engagement.”
“This is more than just the opening of a retreat. It is the beginning of a movement. It is the coming together of men and women who have chosen to dedicate their time, energy and talents to the service of Nigeria and the advancement of the Renewed Hope vision,” he stated.
Tinubu commended members who converged from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, highlighting their spirit of sacrifice and dedication to a cause greater than themselves. He urged the movement to deepen grassroots engagement, reconnect citizens with government policies, and communicate reforms with empathy and facts.
The Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, disclosed that the organisation is targeting 10 million youth votes for President Tinubu in the next general elections through sustained mobilisation and community-level engagement.
Other notable speakers, including the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Mariya Mahmoud, and the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, praised the movement’s role in promoting patriotism, unity, and active youth participation in governance.
