The announcement was made during the inaugural “Niger Day” event, which drew global leaders, industry experts, policymakers, investors, and members of the Nigerian diaspora.

“This plan is not just a roadmap—it is a commitment to our people and future generations,” Governor Bago declared. “We are building a Niger State that thrives on innovation, inclusivity, and resilience.”

The event featured high-level panel discussions with contributions from global development leaders including Hajiya Shamsuna Ahmed of the World Bank Group, Ahunna Eziakonwa of UNDP Africa, Nigeria’s Minister for Trade and Investment Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, UBA Group Managing Director Oliver Alawuba, and Dr. Abdulateef Shittu, Director-General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

These partnerships underscore Niger State’s commitment to transforming agriculture, empowering youth, increasing school enrollment, and delivering people-centered healthcare solutions.
