The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), as part of its ongoing Operation HADIN KAI, conducted precision airstrikes on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, that successfully neutralized dozens of terrorists and destroyed a major hideout in Borno State.
Acting on credible intelligence and surveillance reports indicating unusual movements by terrorist elements, NAF air assets targeted a gathering of approximately 45 insurgents in Bula Madibale, located in the Gezuwa area of Borno. The operation was launched around 10:50 a.m. after observations of terrorists arriving on motorcycles and bicycles, with two terrorist flags hoisted at the site, signifying it as a significant rallying point for potential attacks on nearby communities.
The airstrikes obliterated a flagged structure believed to be a key command post, along with other terrorist assets, effectively disrupting their freedom of movement and ability to regroup. This decisive action underscores the NAF's commitment to denying terrorists the operational space to threaten innocent lives and destabilize the region.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, stated: “This operation underscores our resolve to prevent terrorists from threatening innocent lives. The Armed Forces remain fully committed to restoring peace and stability, particularly in the North East.”
