Nottingham Forest Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as the club’s new head coach, following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo earlier this week.
Postecoglou, 60, arrives at the City Ground with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success at both domestic and European levels. The former Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic manager has signed a contract that runs until the summer of 2027.
Club owner Evangelos Marinakis expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment: “Ange is a coach of exceptional pedigree and vision. His achievements in Europe and his commitment to attacking football make him the ideal leader for Forest’s next chapter.”
Postecoglou famously ended Tottenham’s trophy drought by guiding them to Europa League glory last season. His expansive style of play and ability to galvanize squads have earned him admiration across the footballing world.
The Australian-Greek coach will take charge of his first match this Saturday, as Forest travel to face Arsenal in a Premier League clash. He is expected to be joined by several members of his former backroom staff from Spurs.
Speaking on his appointment, Postecoglou said: “I’m honoured to join a club with such rich history and passionate support. I look forward to building something special with this group of players and bringing exciting football to the City Ground.”
