The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) has officially cleared former Cross River State Governor, Mr. Donald Duke, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, alongside 420 other cleared aspirants across various positions.
Following a rigorous screening exercise conducted by the party’s National Screening Committee, the PRP National Working Committee (NWC) announced the approval of Mr. Donald Duke and the full list of cleared aspirants. The decision underscores the party’s commitment to transparency, internal democracy, and the emergence of credible leaders capable of delivering good governance to Nigerians.
Mr. Donald Duke, a seasoned statesman, technocrat, and visionary leader with a proven track record in governance, expressed gratitude for the party’s confidence in his candidacy.
“I am deeply honored by the trust the PRP has reposed in me. Nigeria stands at a critical crossroads, and our party is ready to offer a new vision rooted in integrity, innovation, economic transformation, and inclusive development. Together with millions of Nigerians, we will build a greater, more prosperous nation,” Duke said.
The screening process, which reviewed the credentials, integrity, and commitment of all aspirants to the party’s ideals, was described by party leaders as thorough and merit-based. The large number of cleared aspirants reflects the PRP’s strength and broad appeal across the country.
