Anambra Police Command Decorates 89 Newly Promoted Officers

The Anambra State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, proudly announces the decoration of 89 newly promoted Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in a vibrant ceremony held at the Command Headquarters in Awka.











The event, attended by senior officers, family members, and well-wishers, marked a significant milestone in the professional journey of the officers. In addition to their formal decoration, the officers were inducted into the Police Officers’ Mess, symbolizing their transition into the Officer Cadre of the Nigeria Police Force.











Representing the Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department, DCP Mantu Chong, congratulated the officers and emphasized that their elevation is both a reward for hard work and a call to greater responsibility. He urged them to uphold the core values of honesty, fairness, and accountability, and to serve as role models to their subordinates.










Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, ASP Oliji Alfred expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Police Service Commission and the Force Headquarters for recognizing their dedication. He pledged that the officers would redouble their commitment to duty and live up to the expectations of their new ranks.











The Commissioner of Police also acknowledged the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, for approving the promotions, noting that leadership within the Nigeria Police Force demands professionalism, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property.
