The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially announced the commencement date for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course. According to a statement released by the NYSC Directorate, the three-week exercise will begin nationwide on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, across all designated orientation camps.
Camp registration for Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) will run from September 24 to September 26, with the Swearing-in Ceremony scheduled for Friday, September 26. The orientation course will conclude with a Closing Ceremony on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
In a special advisory, the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, urged all PCMs to report promptly to the camps indicated in their call-up letters and to comply strictly with registration requirements. He emphasized the importance of safety, advising corps members to avoid night travel and to patronize only government-approved motor parks.
Due to recent security concerns, the orientation camp in Kwara State will commence later, starting Tuesday, September 30, and ending Monday, October 20, 2025. The camp has been temporarily relocated from Yikpata to the Kwara State Polytechnic campus in Ilorin.
The NYSC reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on fake documentation, warning that offenders will be handed over to law enforcement agencies. Married, pregnant, and nursing mothers posted outside their husbands’ states of residence may complete the orientation in their state presentation of valid documentation.
