The Rivers State Government, under the leadership of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has reiterated its unwavering commitment to the timely completion of the Port Harcourt Ring Road, a landmark infrastructure project poised to transform urban mobility and economic activity across the state.

During a recent inspection of the construction site, Governor Fubara assured residents that the project—awarded to Julius Berger Nigeria Plc—will be delivered on schedule and to the highest standards. “We are not just building a road; we are building a legacy of connectivity, development, and prosperity for Rivers people,” the Governor stated.

The Port Harcourt Ring Road, which was originally flagged off at the UTC Junction by former Governor Nyesom Wike, is the largest infrastructure undertaking in the state’s history since its creation in 1967. The road is designed to ease traffic congestion, link key urban and suburban areas, and stimulate commerce throughout the region.

Governor Fubara emphasized that the project reflects his administration’s broader vision of inclusive development and infrastructure renewal. He called on residents to support the initiative and remain patient as construction progresses.
