The Federal Government has pledged decisive action to put an end to the recurring collapses of Nigeria’s national power grid, a challenge that has long disrupted economic activities and daily life across the country.

Speaking at a high level energy stakeholders’ forum, government officials reaffirmed their commitment to stabilizing the grid through a combination of infrastructure upgrades, regulatory reforms, and strategic investments in renewable and alternative energy sources.

“The era of frequent grid collapses must come to an end,” said the Honourable Minister of Power. “We are implementing a comprehensive plan that addresses both the technical and systemic issues undermining the reliability of our electricity supply. Nigerians deserve uninterrupted power, and this administration is determined to deliver it.”

The Federal Government emphasized that stabilizing the grid is not only a technical priority but also a cornerstone of Nigeria’s economic transformation agenda. Reliable electricity supply is expected to boost industrial productivity, attract foreign investment, and improve the quality of life for millions of citizens.

The Federal Ministry of Power is responsible for policy formulation, regulation, and oversight of Nigeria’s electricity sector. Its mission is to ensure sustainable, reliable, and affordable power supply that drives national development and prosperity.
