The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully executed precision airstrikes that destroyed a major terrorist camp in Zamfara State, marking another decisive step in ongoing counterterrorism operations.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), as part of the Joint Task Force under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, has intensified its aerial campaign against terrorist and bandit networks in Zamfara State. On 14 November 2025, NAF aircraft carried out precision strikes on the Sauri bandit camp in Tsafe Local Government Area. The camp, situated on elevated terrain, had been identified through comprehensive intelligence as a hub for terrorist activities, including the concealment of rustled livestock and the coordination of attacks on nearby communities.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, the operation was a major success, neutralising scores of fighters and dismantling critical infrastructure used by the criminals. He emphasised that the strikes were part of a broader strategy to degrade terrorist networks across northern Nigeria, ensuring the safety of citizens and restoring peace to affected communities.

This latest success builds on earlier missions in Zamfara, including the 4 August 2025 airstrikes in Tsafe LGA, which eliminated at least 30 terrorists who had assembled at Asola Hills for a gathering. That operation disrupted planned attacks and further weakened the terrorists’ operational capacity.

The Nigerian Air Force remains committed to safeguarding the nation through sustained precision air campaigns. These operations demonstrate the resolve of the Armed Forces to dismantle terrorist strongholds, protect communities, and restore peace across Nigeria’s northern region.
