The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, has confirmed that fresh reconciliation efforts aimed at uniting all factions within the party are actively underway and already yielding positive results.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja today alongside the National Secretary, Taofeek Arapaja, Turaki stated that leaders from the various sides of the party have been engaging constructively since last night, with meaningful progress recorded this morning.

“I can confirm that leaders of both sides, as of today, are working towards solutions. Reconciliation is ongoing, and all hope is not lost,” Turaki declared.

The PDP National Chairman emphasized that the fresh reconciliation moves represent a renewed commitment by party stakeholders to resolve lingering internal differences in the overall interest of the party and the Nigerian people, particularly as the nation prepares for the 2027 general elections.

He noted that the process is being pursued in good faith, building on recent judicial guidance and the desire of well-meaning leaders across the PDP to present a strong, united front capable of providing credible opposition and alternative governance options for Nigerians.

Turaki assured all party members, supporters, and the general public that the ongoing dialogue prioritizes the unity, stability, and future strength of the PDP. He called on all aggrieved parties to remain open to dialogue and to place the greater interest of the party above personal or group considerations.

The Peoples Democratic Party remains resolute in its determination to overcome current challenges and emerge stronger, more cohesive, and better positioned to serve the democratic aspirations of Nigerians.
