Residents of Zamfara State are rejoicing following the successful elimination of one of the region’s most feared bandit kingpins, Kachalla Sani Yellow, by a combined team of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CTJ), also known as Askarawan Zamfara, and local hunters.
The operation took place in Anka Local Government Area during an intense exchange of fire as the bandit warlord and his group attempted to carry out an attack on communities in the area. Yellow, who had long terrorized communities across Anka, Bukkuyum, and Maru LGAs through deadly raids, mass kidnappings, cattle rustling, and violent highway attacks, was neutralized in the confrontation.
News of his death has sparked widespread celebrations, with residents expressing relief and gratitude to the brave operatives of the CTJ and hunters for their relentless efforts in restoring peace and security to the troubled region. Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has been commended for supporting local security initiatives that have contributed to this success.
