Fubara to Present N1.84 Trillion 2026 Budget to Rivers State House of Assembly

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State will on Tuesday present the 2026 Appropriation Bill of N1.84 trillion to the Rivers State House of Assembly.


The budget, tagged “Budget of Consolidation and Sustainable Growth,” is expected to focus on completing ongoing projects, strengthening infrastructure development, improving healthcare and education, and driving economic diversification across the state.


Governor Fubara will personally lay the budget before the lawmakers at the Assembly Complex in Port Harcourt. The presentation marks a key step in the state’s fiscal planning process for the 2026 financial year.


Speaking ahead of the presentation, the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prudent financial management, transparency, and delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the people of Rivers State.


“We are building a Rivers State that works for everyone. This budget will consolidate the gains we have made and set the stage for accelerated development in critical sectors,” the Governor said.


The Rivers State House of Assembly is expected to commence deliberations on the budget immediately after its presentation to ensure timely passage before the end of the year.
