Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his deliberate and strategic efforts to rebuild the South-East region through transformative infrastructure development.
Speaking on the recent approval by President Tinubu for the design and procurement of two major federal road projects in the South-East, Governor Soludo described the move as a historic intervention aimed at addressing decades-long infrastructural deficits and fostering regional integration. The projects include the 108-kilometre Otuocha–Anam–Abaji Road and the 150-kilometre Oba–Nnewi–Uga–Ihube (Okigwe Junction) Road, which will be dualised.
“President Tinubu is intentionally rebuilding the South-East. He continues to demonstrate his avowed commitment to orchestrating the reconstruction of the South-East, thereby finally healing the wounds of the Civil War,” Governor Soludo stated.
The Governor further praised the President’s vision, noting that “the man who tamed the Atlantic Ocean in Lagos is certainly redefining politics, and the South-East won’t be the same again.” He highlighted these approvals as clear evidence of the President’s commitment to equitable development across all regions of Nigeria.
Governor Soludo emphasized that these critical infrastructure projects will enhance connectivity, boost economic activities, create jobs, and improve the quality of life for residents in the South-East. He called on stakeholders in the region to support the federal government’s initiatives for accelerated development and national unity.
This endorsement underscores the growing partnership between the federal government and South-East states in delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the people.
