Governor Alex Otti today switched on electricity for 33 communities in Ukwa West Local Government Area. This ends a long nine-year period without power for these areas.

The governor led the special ceremony to mark this big step. People in the communities cheered as lights came on for the first time in years. This project helps the oil-rich region that faced neglect before.

Governor Otti said the government works hard to fix old problems. He promised more improvements in power and other services for Abia people. Local leaders thanked him for this change that will boost business and daily life.

This success shows the state's plan to bring light to all areas. The government invites everyone to support these efforts for a better Abia.
