Pastor Chibuzor Gift Chinyere of the Omega Power Ministries (OPM), popularly known as Doctor Jesus, has tendered a sincere public apology to all women who were hurt or offended by a recent post concerning his adopted autistic son.

In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Pastor Chinyere expressed deep regret over the manner in which the original message was presented, acknowledging that it caused unintended embarrassment and pain to many ladies.

“I sincerely apologize to all the ladies who felt hurt or embarrassed by my previous message. I never intended to offend anyone, and I take full responsibility for how it was presented,” he stated. “Everything I do is driven by compassion.”

The original post, which went viral, sought a non-autistic wife for a young man with autism whom the pastor has raised since he was abandoned as a baby. The young man is described as non-verbal, unable to fully understand social situations, and experiencing heightened sexual urges that require careful, responsible, and Godly management as he matures under the pastor’s care.

Pastor Chinyere emphasized that his concern stems purely from a desire to provide safe, compassionate, and sustainable care for the young man, who has grown up in his household. He noted that many autistic individuals do form marriages with neurotypical partners and highlighted his long-standing commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society through his ministry.

The apology comes amid widespread public reaction and discussion online following the initial post. Pastor Chinyere has urged understanding and patience, reiterating that his actions are motivated by love and a sense of pastoral responsibility rather than any form of exploitation.

Omega Power Ministries, known for its outreach programs aiding the less privileged, the sick, and the abandoned, continues its work of compassion across Nigeria and beyond. The ministry has not commented further on potential next steps regarding the young man’s care but remains focused on holistic support for those in need.
