President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived at Eagle Square in Abuja to participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2026 National Convention, accompanied by his wife, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

The historic gathering, which commenced today at the iconic venue, brings together over 8,453 delegates from across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The two-day event (March 27–28, 2026) is set to elect a new National Executive Committee, review the party’s progress, and consolidate strategies in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda as the APC prepares for future electoral successes.

Delegates, party leaders, governors, and supporters received the President with loud cheers and enthusiasm as he entered the venue. The convention underscores the APC’s commitment to unity, internal democracy, and orderly conduct, with the party adopting a consensus approach for key positions to demonstrate cohesion and discipline.

Security has been significantly strengthened around Eagle Square and adjoining areas, with access roads to the Federal Secretariat Complex temporarily closed to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of proceedings.

In his capacity as the National Leader of the APC and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Tinubu is expected to address delegates, reaffirming the party’s dedication to delivering good governance, economic reforms, and inclusive development for all Nigerians.

The APC National Convention marks a critical milestone in strengthening the party’s structures following successful ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses held earlier in the year.
