In a swift and unified response to the United States' military operation in Venezuela, which resulted in the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Iran, Russia, and several other nations have issued strong condemnations, labeling the action as a violation of international law and national sovereignty.

The U.S. strikes, announced earlier today by President Donald Trump, targeted civilian and military facilities in Caracas and other key locations, leading to Maduro's apprehension and extradition. The operation has sparked widespread international backlash, with calls for an emergency United Nations Security Council meeting to address the escalating crisis.

Iran's Foreign Ministry described the U.S. actions as a "blatant violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and the basic rules of international law," specifically citing Article 2, Paragraph 4, which prohibits the use of force against another state's territorial integrity.

Iranian state media reported that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei emphasized the need for firm resistance against such "arrogant" impositions, urging global solidarity with Venezuela.

Russia's Foreign Ministry echoed these sentiments, condemning the strikes as "an act of armed aggression against Venezuela" and deeming any justifications "untenable." In a statement, Russian officials reaffirmed their solidarity with the Venezuelan people and called for the country to determine its own destiny without external military interference.

President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, a close ally of Russia, categorically condemned the "American aggression," highlighting concerns over the broader implications for global stability.

Other nations have joined the chorus of disapproval. Colombia's President Gustavo Petro was among the first to denounce the explosions and military incursion, warning of regional destabilization.

Cuba and Chile have also voiced strong opposition, with Cuban officials labeling the attack as an infringement on Latin American sovereignty. Hezbollah, aligned with Iran, condemned the "terrorist aggression and American thuggery," expressing full solidarity with Venezuela's government and people.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto reported that U.S. forces attacked key infrastructure, prompting urgent appeals to BRICS nations and Latin American allies for support. The Venezuelan government has vowed to defend its sovereignty amid fears of further escalation.

While some U.S. allies, including Germany, Spain, and Italy, have expressed caution and are monitoring the situation closely, the predominant international reaction has been one of concern over the potential for broader conflict. Analysts warn that the involvement of major powers like Russia and Iran could complicate diplomatic resolutions.
