Former Labour Party presidential candidate and leading voice for a New Nigeria, His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, today visited Kaduna State as part of his ongoing nationwide consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During the visit, Mr. Obi held productive meetings with key stakeholders from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Labour Party (LP) members. The engagements included discussions with Dr. Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani, an ADC gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Lawal Adamu representing Kaduna Central, and other party leaders and supporters.
The consultations focused on critical national issues, including rescuing Nigeria from current challenges, rebuilding trust in leadership through competence and character, ending money-driven politics, and forging a united front to secure victory in 2027 and deliver good governance for all Nigerians.
Mr. Obi emphasized the importance of competence over financial inducements, stating that true leadership must be rooted in measurable results, integrity, and inclusivity.
He expressed optimism about the unity and determination he witnessed, noting that interactions in Kaduna reinforced his belief that "a New Nigeria is Possible" a nation that works for everyone, regardless of background, ethnicity, or region.
"I left Kaduna more hopeful than ever," Mr. Obi remarked. "The passion, focus, and commitment to rescue our country from failed leadership are evident here. Together, we can end division, prioritize production over consumption, and build a prosperous, united Nigeria."
The visit underscores Mr. Obi's commitment to broad-based engagement with stakeholders across political platforms, civil society, and communities nationwide.
As he continues these consultations, the message remains clear: Nigeria's renewal demands collective action, disciplined leadership, and a shift from the status quo.
