His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has approved the payment of state allowances and stipends to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members currently serving in the state.
The approval, which covers corps members from Batch A Stream I and II through Batch C Stream I and II, reflects the state government’s commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of young graduates contributing to the development of the state.
This gesture recognizes the patriotism, dedication, and selfless service being rendered by the corps members in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and other areas vital to the growth and progress of Zamfara State.
Governor Dauda Lawal has directed the Office of the Accountant General to make necessary arrangements for the prompt implementation of this approval.
Speaking on the development, the Commissioner of Information and Culture, Alhaji Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa, said the decision underscores the administration’s priority on supporting youth development and national service.
“Governor Dauda Lawal remains committed to creating a conducive environment for corps members and ensuring their contributions to state-building are adequately appreciated,” the Commissioner stated.
This initiative is expected to boost the morale of NYSC members serving in the state and encourage greater participation in community development projects.
