Imo State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has called on all party members to bury personal differences and close ranks behind the successful candidates that emerged from the just-concluded APC primaries.

Governor Uzodinma made the appeal during a stakeholders’ meeting with APC aspirants, party leaders, and supporters, while commending the peaceful, transparent, and orderly conduct of the primaries across the state.“As a political party, collective interest must always take precedence over personal ambition,” Governor Uzodinma stated.

“Through the successful and peaceful conduct of our party primary elections, we are strengthened ahead of future electoral contests.”He stressed that every contest produces winners and losers, urging all aspirants and members to accept the results in the spirit of sportsmanship, party discipline, and loyalty to the APC.“Every contest naturally produces winners and losers.

However, in the true spirit of sportsmanship and party discipline, the outcome of any democratic exercise should be accepted in the interest of progress, continuity, and the greater good of the party,” he added. The Governor praised the massive turnout and the direct primary system, describing it as clear evidence of the APC’s internal democracy and growing strength.

He assured that any grievances would be handled through appropriate party mechanisms and urged members to remain focused and united as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.Governor Uzodinma expressed confidence that the unity shown during the primaries would lead to greater victories for the APC in upcoming polls.Ends
